Press Release

Headline: Greene County Republican Party Hosts Candidate Forums, February 28 and March 14, ahead of the Upcoming Elections.

Early voting begins Monday, April 27th and continues through Primary Election Day, May 19, 2026.

The Public is invited to attend these two important candidate meetings to encourage civic participation, educate voters on key issues, and provide access and resources to candidates. Invited counties include Clark, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, Putnam and Taliaferro.

Invited guest speakers include all those running for state office, including Governor, Lt. Governor, U.S. House District 10, Attorney General, U.S. Senate, Secretary of State, State School Superintendent and State Representative.

The events will take place on Saturday, February 28, from 9 to 12 amand Saturday, March 14, 9 to 12 am at Lakeside Church, 5800 Lake Oconee Parkway, Greensboro, Ga. 30642.

With critical state seats on the ballot, this election will have a direct impact on the future of our state and local governance. These events aim to inform and engage the community with an opportunity to meet and discuss concerns with candidates for all state offices. Your vote is critical both in the initial Primary election, narrowing the candidate pool, and in the final process mid-term elections in November.

This will be a turnout election. With few incumbents running, anticipate a changing of the guard.  Our community has the power to shape Georgia’s future, but the power only exists if we use it! The Greene County Republican Party is hosting this event to bring people together, answer questions about issues, and remind everyone that their vote matters.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please visit GAGREENEGOP.ORG or email: GAGREENEGOP@GMAIL.COM
